Our Mission

Rocking for Inclusion (RFI), harnesses the unifying power of music, bringing together talented rockers with neurodiverse or physical disabilities with their neurotypical peers to create an inclusionary environment and fabulous music! Our performers’ taste in music is as varied and as interesting as they are….and so are our setlists!

RFI is determined to prove Longfellow right, “Music is the universal language of all mankind.” It is a powerful tool for expression, identity, and connection. The band is not defined by their disabilities but by their passion, talent, and dedication to their craft. Their high-quality performances challenge perceptions by showcasing their immense capabilities to inspire communities to embrace diversity in music and beyond.

Creating great music is a collaborative effort and RFI proudly takes this concept further by fostering not only musical partnerships but also meaningful social connections. This collaboration enhances mutual understanding, encourages personal growth, and highlights the incredible impact of working together. And our audiences get to enjoy the benefits of our hard work just as much as we do!

By giving our rockers a stage and a supportive community, we empower them to share their gifts, inspire audiences, and prove that their talents and love of music have no limits. Our performances serve as a testament to the power of inclusion, reminding all of us how much richer life becomes when we celebrate and uplift talents of all abilities.

Our purpose & Activities

Encouraging our community...

to recognize and embrace musicians with disabilities as serious artists with a voice deserving to be heard.

Creating high-quality performances...

uniting talented musicians of different abilities, raising awareness and fostering social inclusion.

Empowering musicians with disabilities...

to overcome insecurities, gain confidence, and share their talents with the greater community.

Demonstrating the power...

of collaborative music-making as a model for broader inclusion in society. Working and rocking means we all thrive. In the words of a fellow rocker from New Jersey, “In the end, nobody wins, unless everybody wins.”
